Default New Trackday concept - RallyeTrack

I'm in the process of launching a new concept that I propose to roll out a couple of times
next year as a test for a market I'm trying to tap into.

Concept is simple. I have agreed with Goodwood and MSV that I can introduce some tyre chicanes on the very long straights.

I'm aiming at the rally competitor, as all us rally boys are on short diffs and boxes, so buzzing the fuck out of our engines is not great and it gives a chance to more readily simulate stage conditions with braking and so forth.

Im try to tie in a date with brands and also Goodwood.

Will this concept be of interest to you guys?

At Goodwood it would be Madgwick and perhaps Lavant.

At brands on the pit straight.

Low numbers and prices as per.

    thoughts ?

Im quite far ahead with arrangements and would seek to include all the IW Trackday faithful, although the draw is for the rally boys.

For info, the tyre chicanes are the circuits. Therefore proper bolted together shizzle, not just a few old dunlops thrown on the track.

Wouldn't if be handy to put the chicane 50 yards past the noise meter on Madgwick at Goodwood?

That way under brakes, you are emitting minimal noise.

My aim at Brands is to put the chicane early on down the pit straight to scrub the speed off early and then allow of a relatively high speed entry into paddock hill bend.

I'd be a little afraid of hitting something if the track was partially blocked with tyres. ..

I'd be up for this. Locosts don't have a lot of legs so having a chicane or two makes this far more interesting and easier on the car.
